Hi, it's Jody. Are you ready for the holidays? I am definitely NOT! I did take a little time to make some Christmas gift tags. I love all the non-traditional colors that are being used this year. I have a short process video of how these little guys came together, please go to https://youtu.be/Ji81IotpGKU.
First, I started with a beautiful watercolor page from Jane Davenport's paper pad. I found a cute Christmas tree stencil from Echo Park Paper Co. in my stash. I grabbed some texture paste and Glimmer Mist in Pearl and Cherry Limeade. I made 2 piles of paste, one with the Pearl and the other with the Cherry Limeade color.
After I mixed each one I spread the paste onto the stencil and paper one at a time. My trees turned out so sparkly and pretty. I let it dry for a few minutes, It did not take too long. Then I used my 2 3/4 inch circle punch to punch out the circle shapes. I used a paper hole punch to make the hole on top of the circles and used scrap ribbon to tie on top.
Lastly, I searched through my wood veneer stash and found some adorable Christmas shapes to glue in the center of the circles.
I think they turned out super cute! I hope you got some inspiration to go get crafting!
