Mixed Media in small doses

Hey, it is Jody here at Floppy Eared Farm.  I have a quick blog and video on how you can use mixed media in any paper project.  I know not all scrapbookers like having messy backgrounds.  But to me, all these beautiful and colorful products need to be played with and used! So let me show you how to make a mess and turn it into something small you can use on any paper craft.

First, I got my trusty color mists.  I like a good rainbow of colors.  I have the following;

I looked through my stash of stencils and found this cool circle pattern I liked.  I grabbed some cheap watercolor paper and starting spraying with my stencil down.  I tried it a few times.

After everything dried, I took my little banner punch from Hobby Lobby and punched out some shapes.

I then brought out Doodlebug's Lots O' Luck collection and made a few clusters with the sprayed banner pieces and some embellishments.

Lastly, I made a quick card base and added one of the clusters for a super cute St. Patrick's Day card.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you find time to try this simple technique to use on your paper projects! Remember, print those pictures and start documenting your life!

This is the video that accompanies this blog, enjoy!
