Good Life Cut File Friday Layout

Hi friends! It's Jody from Floppy Eared Farm.  I have a new Cut File Friday layout to share. I have used a Silhouette Studio design called "5 clouds".  I used up some of the beautiful "Pick Me Up" collection from Pink Paislee by Paige Evans.

I love this quilt pattern paper.  It makes your eyes move right to where I placed my picture.
I added a few layers to the back of my picture.  Scattered around a few chipboard stickers, die cuts, and stickers.

I tucked in a few word die cuts.  I just love those rainbow words!

I used 2 chipboard stickers for an easy title, good life.  Finally, I splattered some of my very favorite Heidi Swapp color shine in gold.

I will be honest and share that I am not happy with this layout.  I felt it needed more.  I just couldn't figure out what I wanted to add so I left it as is.  Maybe I'll go back to it someday.

I hope you found some inspiration to get crafty!  Please print your pictures and start documenting your life.  Thanks for stopping by!

Me, Baby and Mom Cut file Friday Layout

Hi crafty friends.  I have a new cut file Friday layout to share today.  I used the beautiful February 2019 Hip Kit Club main kit.  I also used this adorable free Heart Wreath cut file from the wonderful Papperissuses.com team.

I also decided to use this layout for the Scrap the Boys May Challenge. It is all about loving mom!

I knew right away I wanted to use that pretty flower paper.  It has a lot of black but I had a plan to lighten it up!  I grabbed one of my favorite Tim Holtz stencils and used some Shimmery Goodness by TWC to add some sparkle, texture and some light spots.  I love the Shimmery Goodness but it does need hours to dry.  I did some fussing cutting from that beautiful exclusive Hip Kit Club paper.  I added tons of layers behind the photo.  I tried to use each color on the background paper. All the papers and bits are from Pinkfresh Studio's Joyful Day collection.

After it all dried, I put the cut file right in the center and used the hearts to fill in the empty shapes.  When I added the title it seemed a bit washed out so I took some acrylic paint and smeared it down so the title could be readable.

I love the colors of this layout.  It came together quickly once it dried!  I did add white splatters because I had to! Plus I used my white pen to make lines around the border and write a few words about the picture.

I hope you find some inspiration to get crafty!  Please print those pictures and start documenting your life!

Family Together 12x12 layout

Hi, it's Jody. I have a new Cutfile Friday layout for you. I used the amazing Horizon Collection from Pink Paislee by Paige Taylor Evans.  I love all the rainbow colors but decided to focus on those beautiful blue shades. I also used a fabulous free cutfile from Paperissues.com

First I grabbed a few of my Shimmerz Paintz.  I used the
Creemeez in Daffodil, Raisen Cane, Purple Rain, Lapis Dance, and Lettuce Get Together. I also used one
Shimmers Jilted Jade. I simply took a wet brush and painted each flower.  While I let that dry, I added several layers under my picture.  I just love that pattern paper with a mixed media look!

Then, I decided to add a touch of yellow.  Honestly, I REALLY wanted to use that adorable yellow suitcase! I made sure a had a triangle of the yellow, in hopes that it is balanced.  Since I had the globe heart sticker, I used the globe stamp to coordinate.

I finished it off with a sticker and die cut combo for the title, Family Together.  💗  I hope you find some inspiration from my layout. Please print those pictures and start documenting all your loved ones.

Watch how I make a 12 x 12 layout using the same cut file five times and in different sizes.
